Some of what I've been working on during my time in the NHS
How I've used R, Power BI, Excel, and SQL for clinical governance, quality improvement, BI and public health intelligence.

Thirty-nine area profile documents for Highland and Argyll and Bute, published and updated from a single pipeline, and used by local planning groups.

I learned Power BI in my spare time, then had to use it for real to help clinicians and managers plan a vaccination rollout.

I improved a spreadsheet, and ended up developing a reporting system spanning over 20 hospitals and 100 GP practices, and supporting improvement work that reduced inpatient falls by over 25%.

I discovered horizon plots, used them to display our safety programme on one (large) sheet of paper, then ported them to our BI tool so that executives could see years of patient safety performance at a glance.

I taught myself VBA, cut a reporting process from three months to five minutes, and shared the solution so our department could support record keeping audits across all professions, not just one.
